The progressive German Weilburger Greblon® ceramic-coated cookware has a temperature indicator on top of the handles shown in red when cool and white when hot. How cool is that?
This deluxe set can be used on induction stoves. Healthy Legend makes professional and home-use skillets and cookware that are a joy to use when cooking. The ceramic surface product line is patented from Germany with the knowledge of health and cancer concerns from using PFOA chemicals.
Performance and Features – The set consists of an 11.2-inch fry pan, an 11.2-inch saucepan, an 8-inch small fry pan, a 1.6-quart saucepan, an 11.2-inch square grill (griddle) pan, and a 6.2-liter (6.5 qt.) stockpot with 5 tempered glass lids. Most other companies do not provide lids—this company does and includes a square lid for the sandwich/pancake griddle as well. The glass lids are vented using small holes for releasing steam. Nice idea! The griddle has side lips for pouring. The stockpot handles get hot, so mitts or potholders are advised.
The thickness of the skillets allows them to sit flat on cooking services with no distortion or warping, especially when using on the ceramic glass top stoves. The core is cast aluminum. All cookware is PTFE-PFOA, lead- and cadmium-free having no toxins. The ceramic coating beats out Teflon® by 10 times. The coating is more durable than PFOA-based coatings and even better than ceramic-titanium. It is stated that it is safe to use metal utensils; however, it is best to use nylon, silicone, wood, or bamboo utensils. Do not use abrasive cleaners, soap pads, or brushes. Will not burn food when used with a small amount of oil or butter.
The thick bottom of the skillet can be used with an induction stove as well as gas, electric, and glass cooktops. The resin handle is attached with bolts, not rivets. It is dishwasher safe, but handwashing is recommended for longer life. The gray color ceramic coating distinguishes it from standard ceramic coatings of white with the typical PFOA-based coating. It is safe to use in the oven to 450 degrees F. Will not warp or distort and the heat conduction is even with no hot spots. The coating does not scratch easily; however, it can possible chip as other ceramics do. The handles are newly designed and made of Bakelite, a generic named early plastic type made of phenol formaldehyde resin. The outside is covered with a black high-temperature lacquer.
This cookware is in compliance with Food Grade Standards of the FDA, LFGB, DGCCRF, ROHS, and REACH. Do not leave empty pans on a hot surface; move to a cool side of the stove. Do not wash until thoroughly cooled to room temperature.
With no toxic fumes, this cookware set is safe for birds—parrots, canaries, parakeets—whatever bird pets you love.
